Discover Freemasonry

A Brotherhood Built
on Character and Purpose.

Freemasonry brings men together in friendship, service, learning, and a shared commitment to becoming better versions of themselves.

A Tradition With Purpose

What is
Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest fraternal organizations, bringing men together around timeless principles of friendship, integrity, service, and personal growth.

It is not defined by a single profession, background, age group, or walk of life. Masons come from many different communities and experiences, but they share a desire to grow as individuals, support one another, and contribute positively to the world around them.

At its heart, Freemasonry is about relationships: with our families, our communities, our fellow Masons, and ourselves.

Timeless Principles

Brotherly Love. Relief. Truth.

These principles have guided generations of Freemasons and continue to shape how Masons approach friendship, service, and personal character.

01

Brotherly Love

Treating others with respect, kindness, understanding, and a genuine sense of fellowship.

02

Relief

Helping others through charity, service, compassion, and support when it is needed most.

03

Truth

Living with integrity, seeking knowledge, and striving to improve our character and understanding.

A Few Common Questions

What Freemasonry is - and what it is not.

It is not a religion.

Freemasonry welcomes men of different faiths and does not replace a member’s religious beliefs or place of worship.

It is not a political organization.

Partisan political and sectarian religious debate are traditionally kept outside the Lodge so men from different backgrounds can meet in harmony.

It is not simply a social club.

Fellowship is an important part of Masonry, but the fraternity also emphasizes character, responsibility, service, education, and growth.

It is not about status or privilege.

Within the Lodge, men meet as equals and are valued for their character rather than their profession, title, or social standing.

The Masonic Journey

What does
membership look like?

Freemasonry is experienced locally through a Masonic Lodge.

Lodge members meet regularly for fellowship, Masonic education, charitable work, business, ceremonies, meals, and community activities.

Membership is not something that happens all at once. It is a journey. New members learn through a series of Masonic degrees, mentorship, participation, and relationships formed within the Lodge.

There is no requirement to already understand Freemasonry before reaching out. Most Masons began simply by asking questions.
